Life Diary: March 7th, 2016

Every so often I am going to be making posts which I will call, Life Diary! It's pretty self explanatory, just me rambling on about my personal life. There's been some pretty significant things going on in my life these last few weeks and so I thought now would be an appropriate time to express myself.

I'm hilarious

To start, I am super excited to announce that I have a new job! Last Monday was my last day with the restaurant I worked at, and since then I'm officially an employee for Young Art. It's located at the Alderwood Mall in Washington. I'm an art instructor, which means I'll be giving art lessons to (mostly) children!

The store is adorable! I'll eventually get around to posting more pictures of the place, but in the mean time enjoy these. Look at how cute the supplies are! Most, if not all, of our art supplies that we sell are from Korea and they are SO NICE!

Here's an after work mirror selfie. I don't post pictures of myself on here too often sooooo... hi. Hahahaha (๑꒪▿꒪)*

I've only been working there for a little over a week now but I LOVE it! The people I work with are so sweet and most of them are art students so it's really nice to be in an atmosphere with people who have the same passions that I do. Part of me is a little heart broken that I'll only be there till like September, because around then is when we're moving to Idaho. Woe is meeee.

Next! So as most of you know I've been on a Pescetarian diet since last November. It was going really well for me and it helped with a lot of my health problems like my anxiety. I started it to be healthier, and not so much because of my love for animals. Don't get me wrong, I love animals with all my heart, but I have nothing against eating meat. This last month or so though it's been really hard for me. We currently live with my parents, and so I don't buy most of the groceries. At first I did okay eating different stuff than the rest of my family, but now it is much harder. If my reasons for doing it were to eat healthier, than I'm failing. Because all I'm doing is eating meatless, full of preservative junk while my family is eating fresh cooked, healthy meals that also happen to involve some meat. So for now, I'm going back to a regular diet. I'm still going to try and limit the amount of meat I eat, but I haven't decided how exactly I am going to be doing that yet. (✽´ཫ`✽)

Two weeks ago, I finished my thigh tattoo! This was my first tattoo and I could not be happier with the entire experience. I went up to Seattle to get it done, at a Tattoo/Comic book store called Artful Dodger Tattoo and Comics. First of all, the shop is so cool! When I was there last time, there was one of the artist's little dogs walking around and he kept me company while I waited. I was ecstatic.

This is Hank and he is an old man.

My tattoo artist is Alivia. If I was a millionaire I would give it all to this beautiful woman. She is super laid back and comfortable to be around. Her art skills are UNBELIEVABLE! My entire tattoo in total probably took 5 hours at most, she works so fast and yet the quality is stunning! Also I am in love with her laugh. Here's my tattoo ♡♡♡

It's almost healed now and I plan to get way nicer pictures of it but that will have to be in another post. Since now seems good, I guess I will take this moment to explain some of the meaning behind my tattoo. Obviously the girl is Hinata Hyuga. She is my idol and one of my biggest inspirations for the kind of woman that I want to be. Also, she's just a babe. The Kitsune mask has to do with my love for both foxes and Japanese culture. I picked an actual fox to be in it too because foxes have been my favorite animal for forever and I love them dearly. Then the flowers represent my little family! Sweet peas are Israel's birth flower, Chrysanthemums are Xavi's, and peonies are my wedding flower. The tiffany blue sky color is also my main wedding color as well. ( ˊᵕˋ )♡.°⑅

I've also started writing fanfiction! Honestly, I'm really embarrassed about it and I know I am not at all an amazing writer. But I've been getting really good responses from it so far! It's a Miraculous Ladybug fanfic, I tried to lead up to this with the gifs ;) haha! In the last like month or so I got sucked into this fandom and pawsibly stuck in it furever. (CAT PUNS INTENDED I AM SUCH A DORK) Anyways, if anyone cares here's the link for that: Linky link

While writing this, I've also been trying to get back into a good habit of drawing. And what better inspiration than a cheesy kids show? I finished this one today ♡ฅ(ᐤˊ꒳ฅˋᐤ♪)

♡10 Day Kindness Challenege♡

Before I get on to the main post, I wanted to share a cute little edit that I did the other day and really like. The Chihiro and Haku art is not by me, just the background photo. I've had a few people ask me how I make these and so I will relink my how-to here.

Now to my main reason for this post! I've noticed that after Valentines Day passed, some people seemed to be a little gloomier and grumpier. This makes me sad, especially because Valentines Day does not mean you can't participate if you are single or not in a place you'd like your relationship to be! You don't have to have a significant other to celebrate Valentines Day. I like to focus the day more on people that I love. This doesn't have to be romantic. Give valentines to family, to your friends, and your fur babies! Israel was barfing like crazy this Valentines Day and so I designated Xavi to be my little Valentine, while Israel lay dead in bed all day. Xavi was excited ꒰✪ૢꇵ✪ૢ꒱ෆ⃛

So here's the point I am trying to make. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't enjoy holidays or eventful occasions because of something as silly as your relationship status. You are loved, and loved by others. So instead of being down on yourself, make an effort to lift up others. By doing so, I PROMISE you that you'll start to feel happier.

I've come up with a simple challenge. I'll be starting it March 1st, and I invite you to do it with me! I call it the 10 Day Kindness Challenge. It's simple and easy and something that anyone can do. And please feel free to switch around days to whatever works best for you! All that matters is that you're making an extra effort to be kind. ♡♡♡

Day 1: Compliment three people
This can be in person or even over social media. I get it, there are days where I don't see a single soul besides the people I live with, but a compliment is a compliment. You don't have to be physically with someone to make them feel good about themselves. (ɔˆ ³(ˆ⌣ˆc)

Day 2: Write someone a thoughtful letter
Pick a person! Any person! I feel like hand written letters are a little more personal and nice to receive but even a simple email or online message is nice too. Let someone know you were thinking of them!

Day 3: Make a treat for somebody
Bake some cookies! Sew a blanket! Draw a picture! Use your talents and give someone a gift. What's the occasion? Just because! (•‾⌣‾•)و ̑̑♡

Day 4: Go outside and feed the birds
It's important to be kind to this beautiful planet and animals that live on it! Find out what kinds of birds live around you, especially around this time of year, and then plan accordingly. Some birds prefer nuts or seeds, while others may prefer fruit.

Day 5: Write 10 things that you like about yourself
SELF LOVE IS SO IMPORTANT! While we should be kind to others, we most definitely need to be kind to ourselves. So take a few minutes and write down 10 things that you like about yourself. ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡

Day 6: Tell someone that you love and appreciate them
Self explanatory, but can be a little scary too sometimes. But you can do it! People deserve to be appreciated and don't let any fears stop you from letting someone else know that they are loved. It could make a huge difference in their day.

Day 7: Share something funny with someone else
I challenge you to put a little extra thought into this one. Pick someone who you think could use a good chuckle, think of their interests and personalities, and then find something that you think will make them laugh! (੭ु˙꒳˙)੭ु⁾⁾

Day 8: Find someone who could use a hug
AND HUG!

Day 9: Bring flowers to a friend or neighbor
Do whatever best fits your budget, whether you go out and buy some or walk down the street and pick them (maybe from someone's yard I don't know but if you get caught you can blame me ʱªʱªʱª (ᕑᗢूᓫ∗)). Flowers are thoughtful and pretty, so pick someone who could use a little color in their life!

Day 10: TREAT YO SELF!

I fricking love Parks and Rec. Anyways, that was a long 10 days, you did good! So remember to love yourself, and TREAT YO SELF! ♡

Thank you for reading! Comment below to let me know if you're participating AND how it went for you! I love all of you precious peaches and hope that you have a nice last few days of February.

Instagram Q&A

So I thought it would be fun to do a little Q&A for you guys from my Instagram. I hope to do this kind of thing every so often and I'm really grateful for those who asked me some things. I was hoping to get this posted a week ago but since last Thursday the entire family has been dying with the stomach flu and so I've been either barfing or taking care of my sick boys haha! But better late than never right? On to the questions!

1. What cosplays have you done and which ones do you plan to do??

I've never done any official cosplaying before. For Halloween I was Hinata but I almost don't count that. But with Sakura-con coming next month I'll finally be officially cosplaying! So those two days I'll be Nanami and Hinata. But I'd really love to one day also cosplay as Sawako (Kimi Ni Todoke) , Orochimaru (Naruto), and Chihiro (Spirited Away). And many others but those are my top three right now! ◦°˚\(*❛‿❛)/˚°◦

2. What's your favorite part of being a mommy?

This question is so impossible to answer as there's countless things that I love about being a mother. (⺣◡⺣)♡* But the first thing that comes to mind is just how much I love watching my son grow. It's one of those things that happens so rapidly, but I never realize until I'm looking at old pictures or videos of him. It's also one of the things that makes me very sad, but it's a sweet sad. I just can't believe how big my little baby is getting.

He used to be so tiny!

3. What's the hardest your son has made you laugh?

It was only last week I think that this happened, but it made Israel and I laugh so hard. We're trying to get into the habit of saying a prayer together as a family every night, and one night when I was saying the prayer, he kept on repeating everything I was saying. It was so cute and he was being so silly about it and we all laughed so hard together. ♡♡♡

4. Do you want to travel?

I would love to travel! It's been a bucket list goal of mine since I was a kid to go to Japan. That's where I would most like to go, but the idea of going to parts of Europe sounds lovely to me as well. My only problem is the adult part of me is saying that traveling is too expensive and so it'll never happen.. at least not very often.

5. Where did you get your Hinata contacts?

I got mine from Honey Color! If you don't need prescription contacts then I would recommend finding pink mesh contacts rather than the white. I think they look more accurate to Hinata's eyes, but they don't come in prescription so they're not an option for blind ole me. (。•́︿•̀。)

6. What type of music do you like listening to?

I tend to like a little of almost all music genres, and I get in these moods where I'll only listen to one thing for a couple of months. But I think the most would be either Disney soundtracks, Anime soundtracks, pop punk, and some Japanese artists (such as Lisa). These are my most played and recents on Pandora haha!

7. Favorite artist?

I'm not sure if this question meant music artists or like artist artist, so I'll say both haha! My favorite music artist is Panic! at the Disco. I love them so much.. And then my favorite artist is a tie between Audrey Kawasaki and Ilya Kuvshinov. They both have some of the most beautiful art I've ever seen and they have such recognizable, unique styles. (๑♡⌓♡๑)

Audrey Kawasaki
Ilya  Kuvshinov
8. Favorite song?

I don't have a favorite song, there's just way too many to pick only one. But here's one that I've loved for forever and will always love for forever:

9. What's your favorite season?

Winter! I love the cold and hate the heat. ╭(๑¯д¯๑)╮

10. How long have you and your hubby been together?

Israel and I met our freshman year of highschool! Our dating anniversary is January 9th, 2012 and our wedding anniversary is May 9th, 2014. So we've been together for over 4 years! ♡

11. When you became a mommy, were you originally ready for him? And how has he impacted your life?

I was no where near ready to become a mother when we found out I was pregnant. Israel and I were both 16, just sophomores in high school. We were terrified, mostly of our parents hahaha, but also very brave.. Unlike most high school kids who get their girlfriend pregnant, Israel was so supportive and loving and did everything he could with me to prepare ourselves to be parents, and we tried our best to not match the stereotype for teen parents. We were Juniors in high school and freshman in college when Xavi was born. I think by then we were as ready as any new parents could be. Xavi was really sick when he was born even though he was full term. He stayed in the hospital for 5 weeks before we could bring him home, and there we learned so much about taking care of a new born baby. He struggled to eat and had horrible reflux and so I had to learn how to feed him through a nasogastric tube and how to insert it through his nose and into his stomach. That really sucked honestly, it's the worst feeling in the world to watch your child struggle. But eventually things got better, and the 2+ years that we've had our beautiful little boy my life has become so much more joyful and humbling.

12. Are you planning on having anymore kids?

Oh yes! At least one more. (ᅌᴗᅌ* ) We really want to have that normal, adult experience of having a baby on your own and not in high school hahaha! Plus, I'd love for Xavi to have siblings.

13. What is your dream in life?

There's lots of little dreams and goals I have for myself, but the one BIG dream that I have is to simply love life. I want to be happy and make others happy. If I can do that then I'll have lived the life that I wanted. That and I want to be a roller derby girl.ʱªʱªʱª (ᕑᗢूᓫ∗)

14. What are your favorite things to do?

Sleep. I'm not even kidding, after becoming a mom it's something I'm always ready to do. I also love reading, manga and regular books. Generally I'm pretty picky but once I get into something I get addicted and can't stop reading, I also love drawing, but I don't have much time to anymore and I need to be in the right mood for it. Before I was pregnant I loved running and climbing trees. I'm a really good climber but I haven't gotten around to it anymore. And shopping! I love going to the mall with Israel and he enjoys it too so he's a good shopping buddy haha!

15. Any specific favorite memories?

I live really close to an elementary school and so me and my friends used to hang out there. My best friend Edgar used to live close to it too on the opposite side and so it was a good meeting place. A couple of times we'd meet there at night with Israel and Edgar's cousins. We made up a game where basically I act like the grudge and I creep around the school, while sort of playing hide and seek. Normally I'd be terrified to run around alone at night but since I was the scary thing it was exhilarating.  (⁼̴̀ૢ꒳⁼̴́ૢ๑) Sorry for the creepy gif, I had to. Though I could have picked a scarier one so you're welcome. ;)

16. Favorite show?

I'm going to assume not anime, and so I'll avoid that for this question. My favorite show is probably a tie between The Office (Israel and I have watched every episode at least five times hahaha) and Criminal Minds. I would recommend both to everyone!

*sigh* hello Reid

17. Three favorite anime boys?

I love questions like this because it's an opportunity for more gifs. 1 - Tomoe from Kamisama Hajimemashita. He's perfect and his attitude reminds me a lot of Israel. (๑♡3♡๑) 2 - Kakashi from Naruto. 3 - Chat Noir from Miraculous Lady Bug. Okay I know that he's not anime but I don't care because he's such a cute little dork. It's funny how they all have lighter hair when normally I much prefer dark hair colors.

18. What are you and your husband's jobs?

So today I'm a waitress for this cute little Greek restaurant, though I put in my two weeks yesterday and in March I'll start working at the mall at a children's art lessons store! I do enjoy being a waitress and tips are great, but art is my passion and to be able to teach kids art is a dream come true. Israel is a full time student right now but he's going to start working soon after this quarter is over when he gets his Associate's, and will work until we move to Idaho. Once we are there, he'll go back to being a student and work on getting his Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.

19. Are you planning on getting anymore tattoos in the future?

Oh definitely! ଘ(੭ˊ꒳ˋ)੭✧ The only one I have planned for sure is 神の家族 (kami no kazoku = divine family) which I want to get on my wrist. I'd also love a Spirited Away one but I don't have any plans for that yet.

20. When and how did you get into Naruto? Did you always like Hinata?

Ironically, for years I claimed to HATE Naruto and I refused to watch it! It's because I saw some random episode once as a kid and it was the Chunnin exams and Gaara creeped me out and I thought he was ugly, so stupid me went on a hating spree for years haha. Plus I'm a huge Shojo weeb and Shonan isn't always in my appeal.

Of course now I adore Gaara and love the series with all my heart. I got into it from Israel and Edgar, and Edgar's cousins. We'd play Ninja Storm (I'm not sure which) and I sucked at it but the only character I was even remotely interested in was Hinata and for my noob skills I was decent with her. Plus she's adorable so I liked her.

So tempted to buy an Xbox One or Ps4 JUST for the new Ninja Storm 4 ugh

And then they were watching it and talking about it ALL the time so I naturally got more and more interested in it. I started actually watching it about a year and a half ago and immediately fell even more in love with Hinata. So yeah I'd say I always liked her, I think if it wasn't for her I may not have even given the show a chance. ♡

Well, that's it for the questions! Thank you so much to those who had questions for me! I had a lot of fun doing it and I love being able to interact with you cuties more. If anyone has any more questions comment them here and I'll either respond or save them for another Q&A post later on (I haven't decided yet).

Mini Life Update + February Wish List

I've been trying to hurry and get this posted so I can keep my new years resolution of doing 5 blog posts a month! (๑꒪͒∀꒪͒๑) Before I get to my wish list for February, I thought I would do a quick mini life update! Last week, Israel finally got the email and was accepted to BYU-Idaho (Brigham Young University). That means that sometime this year, hopefully around September, we'll be moving out and heading to Idaho! We're so excited for this huge step in life and to finally get out of my parent's house. Israel plans to major in mechanical engineering, and possibly minor in art. I also want to take some classes too but who knows when or if that will happen haha! Anyways, that's really the only big thing that's happened recently in our lives but it's one we are very eager for. ヾ(o✪‿✪o)シ

I love making these kinds of post because I love to "pretend" shop. What I mean by that is I'm addicted to dreaming of things I'll probably never buy. Except with this, these are all things I very well may (hopefully) buy sometime! Just maybe not this month. or year. (*꒦ິㅿ꒦ີ) Haha >.< I'm mostly kidding and things like the chocolate are a necessity for me so at the least I'll get myself that next time I found myself in Daiso. The thing that I think I want the most from my February wish list would have to be either the Too Faced Born This Way foundation or the Tomoe (Kamisama Kiss) body pillow. I LOVE the body pillow! (๑♡⌓♡๑)

What are some things you wish for this February (or Valentines Day)? Thank you for reading and comment below!
